Meet Our Leadership Team
Bill & Donna Vines
Bill and Donna Vines serve as Lead Pastors of Breezewood Church.
In his ministerial role, it is evident that God preoccupies Pastor Bill’s thoughts more than anything. And second to that is God’s people! He is a hands-on pastor who takes every opportunity to share a meal, a movie, or a conversation with others. Preaching in a straightforward, enthusiastic, and humorous manner, his impact on others is not singular to what he says but rather what he does – extending the hands of Jesus in a personal way. Pastor Bill was born and grew up in Alabama and is a true Crimson Tide fan. Married to Donna (who he admires above all others) for more than 30 years, Pastor Bill is dedicated to their union and family. Together, they lovingly welcome everyone into their lives.
Pastor Bill has served in full-time ministry for more than 30 years, 22 of which have been as Senior Pastor. During that time, he and Pastor Donna have both been students of the Bible and both earned doctorates in ministry, though they prefer the title, “Pastor,” as they know this is their life’s call. Pastor Donna also earned an MA in economics.
Pastor Donna not only serves as lead pastor, but is also the director of Breezewood’s Children’s Ministry and is a vital member of the worship team. She is a ball of energy who tirelessly serves her family at home and at church. Pastor Donna counts it a privilege to keep those in her care focused on what is most important: knowing and serving Jesus, and therefore, others. She desires, above all else, to model Christ and thanks God daily to have a husband and two children with spouses who are all passionate about serving God and others. Being born and growing up in this military town has given her a true appreciation for those who serve to protect and defend this great nation and their families who sacrifice so they can. She genuinely and intentionally cares for everyone who comes within an arm’s reach. Just one visit to Breezewood Church with her greeting you at the conclusion of the service, and you’ll be imprinted on her heart.
Dr. Marian Jones
Dr. Jones is the Administrative Pastor of Breezewood and loves using her talents and abilities as teacher, writer, copywriter, and researcher to oversee and support the organizational attributes of the church, programs, and ministries. Like many in this community, Dr. Jones moved to this area with her family because of the nearby army base, Fort Bragg. Being a military kid has given her an independent spirit that she says has been advantageous, but also something she had to overcome to lean on Jesus! She loves God, His Word, and her family. She and her husband, Tony, have been married more than 40 years and attribute a continued happy marriage and peaceful home to the fact that God was chosen first. She has learned to trust God, and knows the meaning of “battle-ready.” Her love for the Word of God led her to earn doctorates in ministry, biblical studies, and theology with undergraduate degrees in history, social work, and counseling. She is a perpetual student of the Word and is passionate about worshiping “in spirit and in truth.”
Dr. Jones is the founder of Moriah Institute of Christian Studies, an online Bible College, has written several books, dozens of training manuals and desires to see each child of God grow in their knowledge of, and relationship with, Jesus! Every year when college basketball season begins, you’ll find her cheering for her favorite teams: Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils! Yes, both teams. “It’s really just a matter of shades, I’m true BLUE. Like with my two children, I can’t choose – I love them both!”
Worship & Media Pastor
Will Vines leads the worship and media department at Breezewood Church and in serving, he enriches nearly every area of ministry from connect groups to youth and even our on-campus afterschool care. Pastor Will is both a skilled musician and writer, having written several originals, which over the years, have become anthems at Breezewood. Right beside him in worship is his wife, Cameron, who he feels reflects the beauty of God’s grace. The two met at college while Pastor Will was pursuing his MBA. After God, she is his number one priority. Will views his role as a husband as one that should be a reflection of the sacrificial love of Jesus. Wielding a deeply reflective personality, Pastor Will sees his life as the history between he and God, he and his wife, and he and his family.
And he looks to the future with the expectancy of how those relationships will manifest as he lives a life that is pleasing to God, continuing to taste and see that He is good. Part of that is seeing people grow in intimacy with God, particularly through worship. Having lived in here most of his life, the Lord has definitely given him a heart for this city. He prays for Fayetteville and strives to actively make a difference here, spending most early mornings running through his neighborhood and praying for his community.
Zach Kelley has served as the Student Pastor for seven years and is also now serving in an Associate Pastor role at Breezewood Church. He also teaches bible in a local Christian high school which dramatically increases the number of young people he pastors. Still, his number one responsibility and priority is being a husband to his wife, Jill, and a father to their one year old daughter, Parker. Next to belonging to God, they are the most important call on his life. Jill is fully involved in every area of ministry as well with a driving passion to do God's will and shape young minds. Together they live with a desire to maintain a posture of devotion to God. Pastor Zach is both a disciple and a discipler with a deep conviction to especially raise up young men to take their place in Christ. Seeing people being transformed and to watch the process of God setting things in motion and shifting their lives brings him immense joy.
Having grown up in a small NC town in the triad, Pastor Zach earned a BA in sociology in Charlotte before moving to Fayetteville. Graphic design has always been a passion of his and he continues to use his talents in ministry as well. He is also a musician, a runner, and a continual learner at heart. Pastor Zach admires leaders with a passion for God and a vision of continually furthering His Kingdom.
